Here at Stonyhurst we place a very high premium on pastoral care. The health and well-being of our students is at the forefront of our considerations.

To enable round-the-clock care for all our students Stonyhurst Language School employs dedicated welfare staff who are experienced and qualified in all aspects of  student care. This includes a Director of Pastoral Care, House Parents and Night Duty Wardens in each of our accommodation houses.

Your child can talk to his or her tutors throughout the course and with the help of our Director of Pastoral Care and House Parents we offer individual support, answer questions and resolve any educational or pastoral issues as and when needed.

Although we hope that your child will be healthy throughout his or her stay, in the event of accident or illness, we have fully qualified first-aiders on hand at all times and provide healthcare in a daily on-site surgery attended by a registered nurse.

There are also two minor injury drop-in centres close by, a local health centre and dentist in Clitheroe (10 minutes drive) and several hospitals in reassuringly easy reach, in the unlikely event that we need them.
