Matt Siegal is delighted to be promoted to the position of Course Director for the summer school of 2018.
Prior to taking on this position of Course Director, Matt worked as Deputy Course Director and also undertook the role of Director of Studies for 4 years at Stonyhurst.
Matt is originally from the Lake District in the North West of England and has been teaching English for almost 10 years. He first started teaching as a volunteer in a small village called Phoudindaeng in Laos. Now, Matt spends the majority of the year living in Poland where he is a freelance teacher and consultant for Cambridge English Language Assessment.
Corinna Atkinson is a former student of Stonyhurst College and has been working for the summer school since it began in 2012. Corinna undertook the role of Activity Leader until 2015 when she became the Director of Activities.
She has a degree in French and Spanish and is currently training to be a Primary School teacher. Corinna has a love of languages and enjoys returning to Stonyhurst each year to share her passion and help the students to improve their English in a fun and exciting environment.
Jo-anne Brown is the person you will speak to when booking your child to come to the summer school. Jo-anne is responsible for all aspects of administration and marketing for the summer school and is dedicated to ensuring that your experience of Stonyhurst is first class.
Jo-anne has lived in the area all her life and worked at Stonyhurst as a College student. She is passionate about the College and the beautiful countryside surrounding the Estate.
Monica Catramado Alonso, MA in TEFL, has been Director of Pastoral Care and Language Teacher at Stonyhurst Summer School since 2014. Monica has gained her experience not only by studying and working as a Language Instructor, dorm parent and advisor at boarding schools in the United States, but also by teaching English as a second and foreign language in the United Kingdom, Spain and Argentina.
As well as the summer school, Monica teaches General English and English for Specific Purposes (medical field) in Argentina, where she lives with her family.
Steve Culhane, BA English Language, DipTESOL has been working with Stonyhurst Language School since 2015 and in Summer Schools for more than twenty years. Steve holds the position of Senior Teacher and House Parent to the boys, specialising in pastoral duties.
During the academic year, Steve lives in Malaga, Spain, where he works in a private language school as an English language teacher and as a speaking examiner for Cambridge English Language Assessment at the University of Malaga.
